Frisco, TX
One of my all-time favorite designs, and a small peek at a much larger, comprehensive, full-property design; This shot showcases a design concept for a Zen Modern backyard resort.
Miami, FL
This is a single shot from a larger design that ultimately earned me a first place victory nationwide in the 2023 "Million Dollar Pool Design Challenge".
Richardson, TX
Not every backyard renovation needs a pool to be stunning. This is probably my favorite stand-alone shade structure / entertaining area that I've ever designed, and if you love the Modern Zen aesthetic, then it might be your favorite too.
Dallas, TX
This unusual project required designing around an existing pool. And I do mean around. The entire structure you see over it was something I came up with based on the aesthetic from the later Mid Century Modern movement in the 70's. You wouldn't know it from this shot, but all of the details are a call-back to the main home's interior styling.
Rockwall, TX
One of only a small handful of my "lost designs". Due to a job change, this design never actually made it in front of the client it was intended for. One of the best fire pit gathering spaces I've ever created, and it to this day, it exists without a home.
Malta
Designing for this international client was a huge learning experience, as I was exposed to a completely different residential structure that was likely older than the country I live in. Surrounded by tall stone walls on all sides in the middle of a bustling city center, this was perhaps the closest thing to a castle that I've ever worked on.
Southlake, TX
I design much more than just pools, as is showcased by this project. While the pool and spa were still the heart of this build, I provided a comprehensive design featuring a central, open-air shade structure, and two separate ADUs (accessory dwelling units) on either side, with kitchen and living room in one, and a guest bedroom, full bathroom and an office in the other.
Los Angeles, CA
It's rare that a Texan gets to design for a Hollywood actor. But when the Man of Steel himself needed his very own Organic Modern outdoor paradise based largely on the resort vibes of Bali, he connected with the right guy. You might say this design was the "kryptonite" of boring.
Las Vegas, NV
Re-designing existing pool structures is no problem either. This multi-level backyard retreat changed elevations nearly as high as the two-story house itself. It also featured a ground-level cabana with it's own rooftop deck for catching a glimpse of the city lights at night.
Hawaii
The coastal home had a sweeping view of the ocean, and the highest priority was protecting that view (because of course it is). This project featured an existing negative edge (infinity edge) pool, and my goal was to add several new covered gathering and entertaining spaces around it.
Frisco, TX
This NFL Cornerback (and former Dallas Cowboy) holds the record for having my favorite client reaction of all time. When I showed him the concept for his new backyard (and man cave, and guest addition, kitchen, bathroom, billiard room, poker room, and entry way), he responded with,
BRO-This is MY house?!?!"
